A few weeks ago, I had the pleasure of attending a reading series, started by ArtistUpgrade family member Erin Mallon
. I was then invited to be a part of this next reading series, and I excitedly accepted! Last night, a group of 7 playwrights and 14 actors met at Erin’s apartment, where we conversed, shared stories, drank wine, ate goodies, and gathered together to create 10 minute plays in 24 hours. The inspiration and theme for said plays? Postcards. Erin collected these postcards from a flea market – the oldest are dated from the early 1900’s! After randomly selecting two actors, playwrights randomly chose a postcard from a basket. Today they write, and tomorrow we present their plays that didn’t exist last night!
7 postcards. 7 playwrights. 14 actors. It should be a wonderful presentation! Join us!
