Gayle Goodman > NYC Marketing Professional

Last week, I attended the “Leveraging Pinterest Marketing Platform” event held by webgrrls International here in NYC.  Not only did I learn a TON about the ever-growing internet sensation that is Pinterest, I made connections with many talented women including marketing expert, Gayle Goodman.  After a brief introduction, Gayle and I quickly realized we have “sympatico goals.”  Any actors, voiceover artists, and creative professionals in need of some copywriting help, look no further.

Gayle Goodman is a public relations and marketing professional who originally was going to be an actress. She has studied acting at various theater schools in New York and in London, including the High School of Performing Arts, Circle in the Square, Webber Douglas Academy (now part of RADA), Herbert Berghof Studios and others. For voice-overs, she was coached by the great Lynn Singer. Every blue moon, she participates in a theatrical production.

In addition, she runs a resume service for corporate executives to actors and others. Her skills in presentation and knowledge of the audition process are designed to showcase your talents with tools to generate interest, whether an actor’s resume, bio, or copy for the web.

Send Gayle an email at or call 646-339-4214 with your phone number, and begin!

The Show Must Go On :: New Class at The Clown School

The Clown School has a new class coming this Spring, taught by an Upgrader of many trades — a talented clown, teacher, director, writer, and choreographer — David Bridel! Check out the info below…

The Show Must Go On
March 25 – May 13, 2012 :: Sundays (only) 5pm – 9pm
Hollywood, Los Angeles
Instructor: David Bridel
Cost: $495 (discounts available for previous Clown School participants)

Using the principles of clowning, participants will be guided in the creation of several original solo pieces, to be performed in the classroom over the course of the 7 week session. For those who love improvisation, never fear – every session, and even the original pieces themselves, will be filled with plenty of spontaneous thrills and spills, and the ever-present beauty of making stuff up on the spot. THE SHOW MUST GO ON aims to unleash the creative spirit in each participant, and to demonstrate that desire, commitment, and a love of the audience are the true ingredients of memorable performance.

Want to learn your lines? There’s an app for that :D

We just found this swanky app – called “Rehearsal 2” – for iPhone + iPad users (sorry Droid users…) that helps you organize scripts and learn lines!  Fancy!  When you don’t have a buddy to run lines with you…well…there’s an app for that!

A little bit more about the app:  Rehearsal 2 was created by a working Hollywood actor, David H. Lawrence XVII, best known as the creepy Eric Doyle, the Puppetmaster on NBC’s Heroes. He and fellow working actors in Hollywood have been using Rehearsal for auditions, on-set work and personal skill building.

Check out the details here.  Anyone using this?
